The tape

Equities were mixed to lower in the prior session. SPY finished at $765.96, down 0.55%, while QQQ closed at $718.36, down 0.08%. The 523-stock AI infrastructure universe outperformed the broad tape: 335 advanced, 186 declined, and 2 were flat, with an average move of +1.39% — 1.94 points better than SPY. Power generation led at +4.40%; software and design lagged at -1.15%. OESX (Orion Energy Systems, Inc.) was the standout at +22.1%, and HWM (Howmet Aerospace Inc.) was the largest decliner at -10.7%. Today’s calendar includes OCC (Optical Cable Corporation), PPIH (Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc.), and CNM (Core & Main, Inc.) reporting today, while ORCL (Oracle Corporation) reports Thursday.

What reported

ABM (ABM Industries Inc.) reported fiscal third-quarter EPS of $1.04, compared with consensus of $1.01 — a $0.03 beat. The accompanying 8-K noted the results as a material event and included a separate other-material-event disclosure.

Supply chain read-through · Earnings
ABM's modestly better-than-expected fiscal third quarter could be a constructive data point for facility-services peers with data center and energy-efficiency exposure. EME (EMCOR Group, Inc.) and AMRC (Ameresco, Inc.) are documented competitors in overlapping service lines, and the print may signal stable demand conditions in commercial and mission-critical facilities work.
What's happening

AMKR expands Arizona packaging campus to a $12 billion project. AMKR (Amkor Technology, Inc.) announced Phase 2 of its Arizona advanced packaging and test campus, taking total planned investment to $12 billion. The expansion adds to domestic advanced packaging capacity for leading-edge chips; the release does not specify customer allocations or exact capacity additions beyond the investment figure.

ASML and Samsung deepen next-generation semiconductor collaboration. ASML (ASML Holding N.V.) and 005930.KS (Samsung Electronics) expanded a strategic collaboration focused on next-generation semiconductor manufacturing. No financial terms or tool-count targets were disclosed, but the partnership underscores continued investment in advanced lithography capacity for memory and logic nodes used in AI systems.

Axcelis adds Korea manufacturing capacity. ACLS (Axcelis Technologies, Inc.) announced a new manufacturing facility in Pyeongtaek, Korea. The site is geared toward ion implantation equipment and places capacity closer to major memory and foundry production clusters.

Supply chain read-through · News
AMKR's Arizona expansion could give domestic advanced packaging customers additional capacity. AMKR is a documented packaging and test provider for AVGO (Broadcom Inc.), CRDO (Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd), and TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited), so an expanded US campus could support those relationships as AI silicon volumes grow.
ASML's expanded collaboration with Samsung could reinforce demand for EUV subsystems. ASML’s confirmed supplier base includes BRKR (Bruker Corporation), ICHR (Ichor Holdings, Ltd.), and NPO (EnPro Industries, Inc.); those names may see follow-on demand if expanded collaboration converts into additional tool output.
ACLS's new Korea facility could improve proximity to memory and foundry customers; ion implantation demand may also carry into component and subsystem suppliers such as AEIS (Advanced Energy Industries, Inc.), though that link is inferred rather than confirmed in filings.
On watch

ORCL reports Thursday. ORCL is scheduled to report September 10 with consensus EPS of $1.74. The report matters for the AI infrastructure supply chain because Oracle’s OCI capacity commitments, data center capital expenditures, and power procurement commentary provide direct visibility into demand for servers, networking gear, and electrical infrastructure.

OCC reports today. OCC reports today with consensus EPS of $0.20. The print could provide a small read on fiber optic cable demand for data center and enterprise networking, where physical-layer bandwidth is a prerequisite for AI cluster interconnects.

PPIH and CNM report today. PPIH reports with consensus EPS of $0.55 and CNM reports with consensus EPS of $0.919. Both are lower-importance names, but their exposure to piping, fluid handling, and water distribution touches thermal and site-development inputs for data center construction.
