The tape

The broad market traded higher Thursday: the S&P 500 proxy closed at $762.60, up 1.13%, while the Nasdaq-100 proxy closed at $716.92, up 1.73%. Our 523-name AI infrastructure universe outperformed, averaging a 1.84% gain — 0.71 percentage points above the S&P 500 — with 403 advancers, 116 decliners, and 4 flat. Power generation led segments at +4.47%; construction lagged at +0.36%. GNRC (Generac Holdings Inc.) was the standout at +18.3%, while FLNC (Fluence Energy, Inc.) was the biggest decliner at -15.4%. The earnings calendar is empty today; next week brings CHRN (ChronoScale Corporation) on Monday, WOR (Worthington Industries, Inc.) on Tuesday, and SNX (TD Synnex Corp) plus UEC (Uranium Energy Corp.) on Thursday.

What’s happening

CRWV (CoreWeave, Inc.) priced an upsized $3.7 billion convertible senior notes offering, according to a Friday release. The capital raise follows a 4.2% decline in the stock on Thursday and adds balance-sheet capacity for one of the GPU compute operators in the coverage group. The release did not detail use of proceeds, coupon, or maturity.

GFS (GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc.) and MRVL (Marvell Technology, Inc.) said they expanded their collaboration on next-generation optical connectivity. The announcement did not disclose specific product timelines or revenue contributions.

COHR (Coherent, Inc.) expanded its pluggable optical line systems portfolio with full C-band amplification designed for AI datacenter networks. The move targets longer reach and more capacity for pluggable architectures, which have become central to scale-up and scale-out optical connectivity.

ADTN (ADTRAN Holdings Inc.) showcased open optical networking for AI infrastructure at the OIF ECOC 2026 interop demo. The demo is an interoperability push around open optical systems, relevant to lowering cost and avoiding proprietary lock-in across AI network buildouts.

PCG (PG&E Corporation) set dates for its quarterly stock dividends, according to a release.

Supply chain read-through · News
CRWV’s $3.7 billion convertible note could fund incremental compute capacity. That may support hardware demand at NVDA (NVIDIA Corporation) and SMCI (Super Micro Computer, Inc.), while construction and power names such as MTZ (MasTec, Inc.) and GNRC could see follow-on demand if the capital gets deployed into new sites.
The GFS and MRVL optical collaboration could increase demand for advanced optical components and test/packaging providers; names such as COHR and LITE (Lumentum Holdings Inc.) may see higher activity, though no direct supplier links are confirmed.
COHR’s C-band line system expansion may sharpen competition with AAOI (Applied Optoelectronics, Inc.) and LITE, both documented competitors in optical markets. It could also pressure pricing for pluggable optical modules across AI datacenter networks.
ADTN’s open optical demo could challenge CIEN (Ciena Corporation) and CSCO (Cisco Systems, Inc.), which ADTRAN lists as competitors in optical networking. A shift toward open optical line systems may also keep demand flowing to merchant silicon and pluggables rather than vertically integrated systems.
On watch

SNX reports Thursday, September 24, with consensus EPS at $4.68. The call should provide a view on whether AI-related server, storage, and networking equipment is moving through the channel at the volumes implied by orders.

CHRN reports Monday, September 21, with consensus at a loss of $0.0626. The report is a small-cap data point; we will watch for product or customer pipeline updates rather than headline EPS.

WOR reports Tuesday, September 22, with consensus EPS of $0.751. Worthington is an industrial fabrication and building products name; its guidance can provide a read on the non-residential construction and enclosures that feed data center electrical and mechanical work.

UEC reports Thursday, September 24, with consensus at -$0.03862. As a uranium and nuclear fuel name, the report will be watched for commentary on nuclear fuel-cycle status and power procurement, both relevant to the firm-power side of AI infrastructure demand.
