The tape

Markets were up — SPY gained 0.85% to $764.29 and QQQ added 0.87% to $714.88. The 523 AI infrastructure stocks we track outperformed by 50 basis points, rising 1.35% on average, with 369 advancing and 149 declining. Servers & Compute led the complex at +4.14%, while Power Generation lagged at -1.19%. HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company) was the standout at +12.4%; SMR (NuScale Power Corporation) the biggest decliner at -15.7%. Today's earnings slate is light — RFIL (RF Industries, Ltd.) and CHRN (ChronoScale Corporation) report.

What's happening

NEE (NextEra Energy, Inc.) and D (Dominion Energy, Inc.) announced a “transformational Virginia benefits package,” saying it puts customers first and positions Virginia as a global energy leader. The announcement comes as utilities and large power generators are being asked to deliver new generation, transmission, and rate structures quickly enough to support accelerating compute deployments.

BTDR (Bitdeer Technologies Group) said its Bitdeer AI unit secured a 65.1MW A202 facility at its existing Johor, Malaysia campus, and that its estimated active AI cloud pipeline now surpasses $7 billion. The A202 facility expands an operating campus rather than a greenfield site, which reduces time-to-power. The disclosed dollar-valued pipeline also provides a concrete measure of customer demand for merchant AI compute capacity.

AIRJ (AirJoule Technologies Corporation) acquired BitSink, describing the target as a profitable AI and HPC infrastructure cooling business. The acquisition extends AirJoule’s product set in data center cooling, where higher rack densities are pushing operators toward more sophisticated liquid and high-efficiency air solutions. AirJoule already holds data center infrastructure relationships with Google (GOOGL (Alphabet Inc.)) and Microsoft (MSFT (Microsoft Corporation)) and lists GEV (GE Vernova Inc.) as a supplier.

DLR (Digital Realty Trust, Inc.) entered Türkiye through the formation of a new joint venture, marking another international expansion for the data center platform. Digital Realty’s global footprint spans colocation and interconnection across major markets; the Türkiye entry adds new capacity in a less-built market. The move is another data point in the geographic broadening of AI-era data center construction.

Supply chain read-through · News
The NextEra-Dominion Virginia package could accelerate generation and grid investment, which may be a positive demand signal for power equipment and grid infrastructure providers — GEV (GE Vernova Inc.) may benefit. The package could also support continued data center development in Virginia, feeding demand for grid interconnection and power delivery equipment.
Bitdeer’s 65.1MW Johor addition and a pipeline north of $7 billion could sustain procurement across power, cooling, and networking at the site; suppliers in those categories may benefit. The expansion may also reinforce Johor as a meaningful AI data center market.
AirJoule’s BitSink acquisition broadens its cooling portfolio. AirJoule already lists Google (GOOGL (Alphabet Inc.)) and Microsoft (MSFT (Microsoft Corporation)) among its data center infrastructure customers, so the added HPC cooling capability could extend its addressable product set with those operators. The move may also intensify competition with larger HVAC incumbents CARR (Carrier Global Corporation) and TT (Trane Technologies plc).
On watch

RFIL (RF Industries, Ltd.) reports today with an EPS estimate of $0.20. The company supplies connectivity and cabling products; the report is a small-cap check on telecom and data center connectivity order trends. Watch commentary on any data center cabling or wireless infrastructure backlog.

CHRN (ChronoScale Corporation) reports today with an EPS estimate of -$0.0626. The company is in the late stages of its transformation into an AI compute platform, so the primary watch items are commentary on the closing process, balance sheet, and any forward AI compute commitments or supply agreements.

BAM (Brookfield Asset Management Ltd.) hosts its 2026 Investor Day on September 17. Brookfield’s infrastructure and power financing commentary could speak directly to AI data center funding capacity, including its power project financing vehicles.
