The tape

US equities closed mixed in the prior session: SPY slipped 0.02% to $773.38, while QQQ gained 0.81% to $747.46. Our 524-stock AI infrastructure universe outperformed the S&P by 0.93 percentage points, with an average move of +0.91%; 338 names advanced, 177 declined, and 9 were flat. Silicon design led the core layers at +2.67% (the two-name Other bucket averaged +5.39%), with chip making up 2.42% and servers & compute up 1.53%, while utilities & energy lagged at -0.45% and services & investment at -0.08%. VICR (Vicor Corporation) was the standout, up 19.8%, while NUAI (New Era Energy & Digital, Inc.) was the biggest decliner at -8.8%. No major AI infrastructure names report today; SNX (TD Synnex Corp) is the headline report this week, due Thursday.

WOR (Worthington Industries, Inc.)'s $0.07 EPS beat is the only report in our universe from yesterday, and it does not offer a direct read-through to AI infrastructure. We are not mapping this result to data center, power, or compute names without confirmed relationship data.
What's happening

CoreWeave added a new enterprise AI customer. CRWV (CoreWeave, Inc. Class A Common Stock) said Harell Data selected CoreWeave to power its secure platform for AI model training. The announcement adds another platform workload to CoreWeave’s GPU cloud, reinforcing demand visibility for high-density AI compute. Separately, CoreWeave filed an 8-K disclosing a material agreement and an unregistered equity sale.

Modine is expanding its data center cooling workforce. MOD (Modine Manufacturing Company) said continued growth in its data center cooling business is driving 300 open roles. The hiring plan is a direct signal that cooling capacity is being added to meet data center construction and retrofit activity.

WhiteFiber rolled out a distributed GPU supercluster architecture. WYFI (WhiteFiber, Inc.) launched WhiteFiber Continuum, which it describes as the highest performing distributed GPU supercluster architecture. The system targets the interconnect and scaling constraints that arise as GPU clusters are distributed across racks and facilities.

ASM International introduced a new film process for advanced chips. ASMIY (ASM International N.V.) launched Flowable Carbon technology for the next era of semiconductor scaling. The process addresses fill and scaling needs in advanced logic and memory, where flowable films are used in increasingly tight geometries.

DigitalBridge cleared the final regulatory step for its SoftBank acquisition. DBRG (DigitalBridge Group, Inc.) said it received all regulatory approvals required to complete the acquisition by SoftBank Group Corp. The transaction would place one of the larger digital infrastructure managers under a global financial sponsor, a development closely watched across data center and fiber capital formation.

Supply chain read-through · News
CoreWeave’s new AI training workload could reinforce demand for high-density compute capacity. That may translate into incremental demand for data center capacity and cooling infrastructure; companies such as DLR (Digital Realty Trust, Inc.) and VRT (Vertiv Holdings Co.) could see follow-on interest, though the relationship data does not confirm direct links to this deal.
Modine’s cooling expansion is a direct signal of thermal management capacity being added. That could point to sustained demand across data center cooling supply chains; companies such as VRT and JCI (Johnson Controls International plc) may see similar pull-through, but we have no confirmed supplier/customer ties from this announcement.
WhiteFiber’s Continuum architecture could increase demand for high-speed interconnect and optical components if adoption scales. Names such as CRDO (CREDO Technology) and ANET (Arista Networks, Inc.) may benefit; this is an inferred read-through, not a documented relationship.
ASMIY’s Flowable Carbon process could support advanced-node equipment demand if it gains adoption. Equipment and metrology names such as AMAT (Applied Materials, Inc.) and KLAC (KLA Corporation) may see a positive read-through, though these are examples rather than confirmed ties.
DigitalBridge’s acquisition by SoftBank could strengthen capital flows into digital infrastructure. That may be supportive for data center operators and developers; examples include DLR and other digital infrastructure names, but we are not claiming direct contracts.
On watch

SNX reports Thursday. SNX (TD Synnex Corp) is scheduled to report September 24 with consensus EPS of $4.70. As a distributor of enterprise IT and data center hardware, its commentary on AI-related server, storage, and networking demand will be a useful demand signal for the broader infrastructure stack. We are watching inventory levels, AI server attach rates, and any update on backlog or lead times.
